Miscellaneous News
Attention Parents: Due to
the recent number of tragedies in schools across the U.S, our school system has
asked us to keep all of our doors locked at all times. This means visitors will
have to use the buzzer on the front door in order to be admitted to the
building No one will be allowed to enter the building during the school day by
any door except the one in front of the office. We will continue to try to
provide the safest environment possible for GMS

an effort to improve and expand communications between
Attention
Parents of Car Riders: If you drop off
your child in the morning and you are first in line, please pull to the RED LINE before letting them out of your
vehicle. If you are not first, please
pull as close as sensible to the vehicle in front of you. The line will move
faster and be appreciated by all J
Parents: When
you enter the school building, please report directly to the front office and
let someone there know the nature of your visit to the school. Please do not go directly to a classroom without

"electronic suggestion box" for GMS. Parents may email their
ideas and suggestions to generalsuggestions@hotmail.com.
The GMS Administration, as well as the GMS
Parents’ Club values your input. This program is being pilot tested
through this first semester
Attention Students: We began the policy last year
of only delivering items that were brought from home during lunch and at the
end of the day. If you have a project due, you must bring it to school with
you. If you need your notebook, bring it with you. We will not interrupt
classes to deliver items or to give you a message unless it is an emergency.

Attention Parents: Students are not allowed to use
school property for skateboarding even when school is not in session. Please do
not come on the property of
WGMS the Voice of the Generals
Teachers and sponsors if you have announcements for WGMS or 89.9FM
email me your message before 7:20am on the day of the announcement. In the
email subject box please type: (example) WGMS announcement Monday 8-13. Please write your
announcement as you want it read. Also in the text of your message the announcement start
date and the date it expires. No hand
written announcements, announcements by phone or flyers accepted. I recommend
that you email your announcement to me before the end of the school day or from
home.
Athletic team coaches & sponsors: Please send game results the
following morning. Results help build school spirit and are extremely important
to the students.
89.9FM WGMS will transmit
daily GMS news here in the Grassland community.
The broadcast range is ¼ mile radius. The news will loop for 24 hours and will
change daily. If you are a new GMS faculty
member feel free to drop by my room (407) for a brief tour.
